Laurie Kelly

Founder of Brain Friendly Training

Laurie speaks both nationally and internationally on current knowledge of how the mind works to maximize the impact of training and to create an openness factor in our approach to change and new learning. With over 30 years experience, he has a reputation for having an uncanny ability to communicate on a level that everyone can appreciate and is passionate about the importance of the information he shares. Laurie’s experience in improving trainers’ skills in engagement is vast – he is one of the most sought-after presenters in his field.

Rather than write a static book he has produced a set of 48 short skills videos on Training with the Brain in Mind – Ideas to facilitate engaging training in both face-to-face and virtual environments.

Laurie has been following his other passion to assist Learners to understand how they learn and developed 14 short videos as an orientation program which RTOs can upload to their LMS.

Laurie preaches and practices the principles of Brain friendly Training in all his work so expect the talk to be walked. Have fun and enjoy the experience.

Join Shane Worthington, ASQA’s Chief Digital Officer as he discusses the transformation program underway, including the importance of data, information and intelligence and how new digital systems will enable better regulatory decision making. Shane will also discuss the importance of co-design with the sector and building for the end-user and will explore how AI will bring productivity gains, not just to the Regulator, but to the Sector and the economy more broadly.

Key Takeaways
