Speaker Biography

We are excited to be bringing you our favourite online VET researcher, Dr Deniese Cox, founder of TeachingOnline.com.au. She is known as the go-to source for exceptional online strategies that really are effective.

Drawing on extensive hands-on experience of her own plus a Masters in online learning and a PhD in online teaching, Deniese is the perfect partner for VET educators wanting to cut through noise around online education.

While her sessions are always engaging and interactive, what we love about Deniese’s work is that all her strategies
are research-driven, practical, proven, and able to be adapted to meet the needs of different contexts. It’s Deniese’s
ongoing research in this space that enables her to bring you the latest insights – it’s what sets her apart.

Chief Executive Officer of MRWED Training and Assessment

Marc is a multi-award-winning trainer, author and education entrepreneur. He is the CEO and founder of MRWED Training and Assessment and has been involved in the VET Sector for more than 25 years. Marc is a strong advocate for “edu-tainment” and believes that learner involvement and fun are integral to student success.


He continues to be an in-demand conference speaker and workshop facilitator, having presented at more than 50 conferences in a dozen countries in the past decade. He has also presented training-related workshops internationally in the UK, North America, Africa and Asia and is one of only two people in Australia certified to deliver Bob Pike’s Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp, the world’s most respected train-the-trainer program. 

Keynote Speaker Biography

Professor Hunt was appointed Honorary Enterprise Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Services and the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne in December 2022.  Greg is also the inaugural Chair of the Advisory Council for the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health at Monash University. He advises a wide range of businesses and not for profits in the areas of innovation, leadership, strategic planning, health and the environment.

Greg is a highly experienced former Cabinet Minister in the Australian Government, having served as Australia’s Minister for the Environment, Innovation and Health across three major portfolios over almost nine years.

Keynote Speaker Biography

Dr Tim Sharp (aka Dr Happy) is the founder & CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) of The Happiness Institute, Australia’s first and now largest organisation devoted solely to enhancing happiness in individuals, families and organisations. He is an Adjunct Professor in Positive Psychology at UTS and RMIT University. His primary areas of interest include enhancing happiness at work as well as promoting healthy living via the application of positive psychology principles. He recently launched an exciting and radically new program, The Happiness Diet. Dr. Sharp is the bestselling author of among others The Happiness Handbook100 Ways to Happy Children: a guide for busy parents and most recently Live Happier Live Longer –a guide to positive ageing. 

Keynote Speaker Biography

Dr Alan D. Thompson is a world expert in artificial intelligence (AI), specializing in the augmentation of human intelligence, and advancing the evolution of ‘integrated AI’.

Alan provides AI consulting and advisory to intergovernmental organizations including member states of the United Nations, Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), European Union, and the Commonwealth. Alan’s applied AI research and visualizations are featured worldwide, with citations in the University of Oxford’s debate on AI Ethics in December 2021, and in the US Government’s economic research report in February 2023. His 2021-2022 experiments with Leta AI and Aurora AI have been viewed over 2.5 million times.
